About Sabrina Kidwai

Sabrina has 20 years of experience including working for associations and a PR agency. She previously worked for Solid Waste Association of North America as the Senior Director of Membership and Marketing where she oversaw membership, marketing, and meetings. Before joining SWANA, she worked for six years at the National Association of Bond Lawyers where she managed membership recruitment and retention, continuing legal education, and sponsorship. She worked for seven years at ASAE and five years at the Association for Career and Technical Education. Throughout her career, she has experience in communications, video, social media and advocacy.

She served as president for the Public Relations Society of America National Capital Chapter (2017-2018) and has been a member/volunteer for the chapter since 2006. She is the chapter’s Ethics Officer for 2025. In 2014, she co-chaired the local committee in DC to host the PRSA International Conference in DC, which included managing 70-plus volunteers and four committees. She has her APR (Accreditation in Public Relations) and CAE (certified association executive).

• I tried out for Jeopardy in the summer of 1998.
• I’ve traveled to 20 countries in Europe, Africa and Asia.
• I come from a big family and have 39 first cousins.
